Alice Faye Hinson

Homegoing services for Alice Faye Hinson, 73, of Cochran, who died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at her residence, will be held in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2 P.M. Burial will be private in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Faye was born in Macon and had lived in Cochran most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Ollif Roland Curtis and Charline Hair Holland and Henry Baxter Holland. She was a former Bleckley County Mental Retardation Center employee, before moving to Horseshoe, Florida, where she was the owner of Crimson Crest Restaurant before moving back to Cochran. She was a former employee of Fisher Funeral Home and Pulaski Bleckley Memorial Gardens and was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Cochran. She was preceded in death by her son, Marty Hinson, and grandson, Siman H. Katz. Survivors include daughters, Saam Katz of Littleton, Co., Pam (Cecil) Hinson-Cumbie of Cochran; Son, Quinton (Shonda) Hinson of Cochran; sister, Eva Jane Garrett; brothers, Lewis Baxter Holland and James R. Holland; sister-in-law, Edna Carol (Rev Wyndell) Hamrick; dear friend, Betty Jean Fazekas; grandchildren, Mack, Pearl, Cager, Clara and Lauren McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Riley, Ryder, Evelyn Jean, Ayden and Carter; many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
