Miss Bette Urquhart

Funeral services for Bette C. Urquhart, 91 of Macon, formerly of Cochran, who died Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Bolingreen Nursing Home, will be held Sunday August 4, 2013 at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Miss Urquhart, a native of Bleckley County, was the daughter of the late John Cumming Urquhart and Catherine Bond Urquhart of Cochran. She was a graduate of Cochran High School, Middle Georgia College and Georgia State College for Women of Milledgeville, with an A.B. in English. She was a member of Mulberry Methodist Church in Macon. She was a retired Civil Service employee with the Internal Revenue Service. She was preceeded in death by her sisters: Alashia U. Spears, Ann U. Jackson and Frances U. Parsons. Survivors include: nieces; Alashia S. Dawson, Macon and Kathryn Sears, Gainesville. Nephews: John C. Sears, Atlanta and Allen U. Sears, Carlton, GA.; great niece, Terri (Charlie) Sutherland of Mobile, AL; great nephew, Dr. James Dawson, Perry. Family will greet friends following the service.
