Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Peacock, 87, of Cochran, who died Monday, July 13, 2015, at her residence, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the First Nazarene Church of Cochran. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Born in Laurens County, she was daughter of the late John Henry Johnson and Minnie Mae Pettis Johnson and widow of Johnnie B. Peacock. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Cochran and was retired from Davidson Dry Goods of Cochran. She was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Lee Johnson, Hattie Johnson, Johnnie Johnson, Lois Hendrix Rutherford and Rev. Charlie Johnson. Survivors include: sons, John J. (Debra) Peacock of Jonesboro and Rev. Jerry (Linda) Peacock of Cochran; brother, Jim Henry (Betty Joyce) Johnson of Macon; grandchildren, Ty Peacock, Katrina Upton, Christy Peacock, Jonathan Peacock and Rev. Jason Peacock; and nine great-grandchildren. Family will meet friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will be at the Peacock residence on Vernon Road. Serving as pallbearers will be Ty Peacock, Jonathan Peacock, Brandon Rye, David Duskin, Tyler Peacock, Ronnie Allen, Ernest Johnson and Neal Stewart Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran has charge of arrangements. www.fishersfuneralhome.net
