Joe W. Tripp Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Graveside services for *immediate family only* for Joe W. Tripp, Jr., 75, of Yonker, who passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Navicent Health, in Macon, will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11 AM. Services will be in the Brown Family Cemetery with Rev. Allen Mullis officiating. Joe was born in Pulaski County, the son of the late Joseph Welch Tripp, Sr. and Evelyn Brown Tripp. He has lived in Dodge County most of his life and was a graduate of Dodge County High School, Class of 1965. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp., he served in Vietnam where he received two Purple Hearts. He was retired from the United Steel Workers of America, working at Continental Can Co. and Crown Cork and Seal. He and his family enjoyed displaying the Christmas Lights in Yonker (Tripp Family Christmas Lights) every year for 30 years. He was also a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marie Mullis Tripp of Yonker; son, Joey Tripp of Cumming; 4 daughters, Monica (Sammy) Spell of Dexter, Mendi (Randy) Brooks of Cochran, Amanda (Chris) Ramos of Kingsland, and Jami (Andrew) Williams of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Samara Francis, Blake Brooks, Audrey Williams, Scarlett Ramos, Kane Spell and Kole Spell; great-grandchild, Tucker Lee Layfield.
