Funeral services for Neddie Brantley Eitel, of Cochran, 82, who died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family, will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cochran First Baptist. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens. Born in Treutlen County, Neddie was the daughter of the late Lige and Ruby Simpson Brantley and the widow of Luther Howell after 13 years of marriage and Franz Eitel after 27 years of marriage. She had lived in Bleckley County since 1966 and was a member of Cochran First Baptist Church and the Cochran Pilot Club. She retired form Robins Air Force Base and from Middle Georgia College as a House Mother. Survivors include: sisters, Tine Zech of Smithsville, Martha Darter of Austin, TX, Mary Jo Taylor of Oxford, and Paula Guy of Waycross; brothers, Frank Brantley of Mt. Vernon, James Brantley of Clarksville, Hoke Brantley of Evans and Bud Brantley of Ailey; and several nieces and nephews. Family will meet friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
