Robbie Mae Jenkins

December 1, 1944 - June 2, 2016

Robbie Mae Jenkins answered her Heavenly Father's summons on June 2, 2016. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Brown Hill Baptist Church with interment in Brown Hill Church Cemetery. The Reverend Melton Jones will officiate. Born in Twiggs County on December 1, 1944, to the parentage of the late Sam Ashley, Sr. and Maybell Whipple Ashley. Her son, Tyrone Jenkins, preceded her in death. She received her education at Thompson Street School. From an early age she was a member of Brown Hill Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Usher Board. She was a homemaker and loved all her family and friends dearly. She will be remembered by all for joyous laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and lively personality. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 47 years, Tommy Lee Jenkins; her son, Anthony (Takeya) Jenkins; her daughter, Teresa Jenkins; her grandchildren, Jakendrick Jenkins, JaLisa Jenkins, Ankezion Jenkins, Dazoan Hill, Anthony Quainton, and Shankeiria Quainton; her sisters, Patricia Ann (Melton) Wells, Mary Ann Ashley, Wylene Hightower, and Janie Mae Stanley; her brothers, Sam Ashley, Jr., Jerry Ashley, and Leonard (Shirley) Ashley; her aunt, Louise Allen; her brothers-in-law, Larry (Linda) Jenkins, George Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, James Lee (Shirley) Jenkins, J.C. Jenkins, Darren Jenkins, Melvin Jenkins, Jr., Moses Lee Jenkins, and James Allen; her Sister-in-law, Justine Allen; her foster sisters, June Chappell, Monica Gainey, and Krystal White; her devoted God daughter, India Elvine; and and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will be at the residence of Janie Mae Stanley, Cary Road in Cochran and will greet friends following the service at the residence.
