Mrs. Sara B. Garrett

December 6, 1923 - January 2, 2022

Dublin – Sara B. Garrett, age 98, died peacefully Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Dublin Air Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at ll:00 A.M. in the Salem Baptist Church with reverend Tony Harmon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will meet friends following the service in the church sanctuary. Born and raised in Bleckley County, Georgia, Sara was the daughter of the late Andrew Bryant and Ollie Beck Bryant Allen. Mrs. Sara was a very active member of Salem Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school and was active in WMU and Acteens. She attended Bleckley County Schools and worked at L & H Shirt Company and Jac-Arts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Marvin Garrett (Cooner); brothers, Willie Bryant, Albert Allen, Earl Allen, and Junior Allen. Mrs. Sara was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and gardening. Left to cherish her memories are her children, James Garrett and his wife Wanda, Betty Knott and her husband Norman, and Peggy Phillips and her husband Clyde; 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Tennie Pittman.
