Wilbur " Brother " Fountain

Cochran - Mr. Wilbur Frank “Brother” Fountain, age 84, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM in Cochran Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be private in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Ed Wallace and Pastor George Grimes will be officiating. The family will greet friends following the service Tuesday in the chapel. Brother was born August 6, 1937, in Bleckley County and lived there his entire life. He was the son of the late Charlie and Annie Mae Collins Fountain and was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Rogers, Leroy Fountain and Charlie “Buddy” Fountain; three sisters, Josephine Davis, Bertha Mae Collins, and Ruby Nobles. Brother attended Bleckley schools and was a former member of Saint John Nazarene Church. He was retired from the maintenance department at Bleckley County Schools. Brother loved spending time with his family and farming. Left to cherish his memories: daughter, Catina Marie Moncrief and her husband John of Warner Robins; brother, Bobby Gene Fountain and his wife Evelyn of Cochran; sister, Anne Payne and her husband Jerry; special niece, Mary Cromer and her husband William of Dexter; two grandchildren and several more nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are: Johnny Fountain, Chad Fowler, Grant Fountain, Bruce Payne, Ronnie Dixon, Austin Bland, and Jeff Hardy. The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Fountain on GA Hwy 87 North in Cochran.
