Our History

Fisher Funeral Home

For more than 120 years, the Fisher family has had the privilege of serving families of Cochran and Central Georgia, exemplifying dignity, professionalism and personal care in the funeral home industry. Beginning with J.A. in 1896 with a livery stable, adding funeral services in 1898, Fisher Funeral Home now stands at the corner of First and Dykes Street in Cochran, Georgia.

Fisher Funeral Home is owned and operated by the Fisher family, following in the footsteps of Joseph A. Fisher, T.W. Fisher, Jordan Fisher, and Jeff Fisher. In 1983, Fisher Funeral Home purchased Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens. The cemetery is a member of the Georgia Cemetery Association and the Southern Cemetery Association.

Fisher Funeral Home is a member of the Georgia Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. This family is proud to be a part of the Cochran-Bleckley County community.

Selecting cemetery property is a very personal and important decision. Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens is owned by Fisher Funeral Home and is a perpetual care cemetery with an in-house maintenance staff. We offer a full-range of burial options, including the option to purchase burial merchandise such as vaults or markers.

Located on GA Highway 26 West, Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens offers traditional ground burial with designated sections for flat bronze markers and granite monuments.
